I have a professional background in technology and spent many years in the military. Many describe me as the "SME" or subject matter expert for whatever it is I am interested in. I am the type of guy who will spend hours researching a $5 product and would rather do without something than buy 2nd best.
I am an avid fitness enthusiast with experience in mountain biking, motorcycles, diving, camping, and emergency preparedness but am very new to the sport of backpacking. Living in a NYC apartment with minimal space I am quickly becoming a lightweight, compact, multi-use gear enthusiast!
